💬 From free users to the first paying customer¶
The ask
Early access is free until the beginning of 2027. Then people pay.
What should we do, and not do, to go from many free test users to our first paying customer?
Context¶
- 🌱 Visualli® has 41 early-access users. Anyone can now start free, until the beginning of 2027.
- 💶 Pricing isn't ready yet. Current thinking: a free open core, a ~€0.99 / month vault and pay per insight.
- ⚖️ Terms, Privacy and Cookie policies are live. What paying customers need beyond that (billing, support) isn't in place yet.
- ❓ No retention data yet, so we don't know who would pay first.
Options we see¶
We haven't framed options yet. Our current pricing thinking is a starting point, not a decision; this is where we need you most.
Our current leaning¶
No leaning yet.
We'd rather hear your "don'ts" before we pick a path.
What we'd love from you¶
- 📣 GTM & Positioning: When early access ends, how do we turn free users into paying ones? Who is likely to pay first, and what would they pay for? Does a ~€0.99 vault plus pay per insight fit how they buy?
- 🛠️ Technology & Product: From a compliance and support standpoint, what must be in place before we charge anyone?
- 💶 Fundraising: Which early revenue signals matter most to investors: number of payers, conversion or retention?
